​Wes takes promotion to Service Manager at Greenhous Ford in his stride.​

It is always rewarding to see a colleague climb the employee ladder through hard work and dedication to the job. Wes Stray has just been promoted to the role of Service Manager at Greenhous Ford in Newtown.Wes lives locally and he has been at the Ford franchise since 2004 when he started doing health checks on cars, pricing work and speaking to customers about organising the work schedule.

An opportunity arose for Wes to step into a temporary Service Advisor position which he did so well at he soon became a permanent member of the after sales team. On gaining several years of experience, Wes was then made up to the Assistant Service Manager job just as Greenhous took over the franchise from W R Davies. This gave Wes the opportunity to become the Workshop Controller, a role he has held for 2 years before his latest move into the dealership management team.

Wes has 5 technicians working on cars and commercial vehicles at the busy Ford enterprise. Maintenance, repair and MOT’s are carried out on customer’s vehicles from across Mid-Wales.

Wes says of his new role: “I am delighted to manage the service department.We work closely with our colleagues in sales and parts to ensure we give our customers the very best experience.I am aware of the importance of social media to Greenhous Ford.It helps us to raise awareness of our services and we have an on-line booking system for service and MOT’s that customers can access from the comfort of their home.

“I have always been keen on training and over the years courses have enabled me to improve my knowledge and skills.It is an important part of my role to look after the professional development of myself and my staff.I personally am always willing to learn.”
